The exterior is washed using high-pressure to quickly and gently loosen soils. The soils are wiped away using soft microfiber towels that absorb the moistened residue. The doorjambs, trunk jamb, fuel door, and crevices of body emblems are cleaned. The vehicle receives paint decontamination to remove above-surface contaminants (e.g., bugs, tar, road oils, and iron deposits). Wax is applied or, if needed, a cleaner wax to remove light surface imperfections and oxidation. The wheels are cleaned and polished, and the tires are dressed with a UV protectant. The process ends with a light buffing.
